KCA To Host Regional Meeting in Abilene

Kansas Cattlemen's Association (KCA) in partnership with Rawhide Portable Corral will host a Plant Tour and regional cattlemen's meeting in Abilene, Kansas to discuss industry topics on the evening of May 18, 2017. The meeting event will begin at the Rawhide Portable Corral production facility 900 N. Washington St., Abilene. Following the plant tour and demonstration, attendees are encouraged to attend the free meal and presentation at the Historic Shockey and Landes Building in downtown Abilene, 324 N. Broadway St. The tour and meal are free and open to the public. KCA will provide organization information, and Craig Kerbs, SmartLic, will present "Competition, the Silent Killer". Valley Vet Supply will discuss the VetGun, and give one away as a door prize.

Rawhide Portable Corral is well known for their Rawhide Processor by John McDonald; a portable corral designed to make your work easier and your farm, ranch or livestock production business more efficient. It is an excellent alternative to hauling cattle home to process, because you are able work on site, by yourself, without lifting! The Rawhide Processor comes in three assorted sizes, and offers customized features as needed by each independent operation.

KCA is actively supporting independent producers in Topeka and Washington, D.C. Our staff will update attendees on current legislative work. In addition, KCA will discuss various policies, and how they differ from other industry organizations.

Proud sponsors of the event and meal include: Rawhide Portable Corral, Kansas Cattlemen's Association, Valley Vet Supply, SmartLic, Pinnacle Bank, Sharp Mfg, LLC., Horizon Farm & Ranch Realty, LLC., Astra Bank, KanEquip, Orscheln Farm & Home, AgriTrails COOP, Abilene Machine, Rittel's Western Wear, LLC., CTI-John Deere, Harris Crop Insurance, Key Feeds, Barber Construction, and Farmway COOP, Inc.
