Wildfires & Wind Ravage Cattle Ranches Throughout Kansas
Wildfires ravaged hundreds of thousands of acres in mid-December. The blaze that covered the largest area has been dubbed the Four County Fire, because it burned parts of Russell, Ellis, Osborne and Rooks counties. The Kansas Cattlemen’s Association held its annual benefit auction on Saturday evening of the 23rd Annual KCA Convention. Andrew Miller provided his auctioneering skills for the event. Monies raised from the benefit auction support KCA and the KCA and GoBob Scholarship Program. This year, KCA members Gary & Annette Schreiber donated a Schreiber Red Angus heifer for the rollover auction.
